The "Measuring the Contribution of Sport, Physical Education, and Physical Activity to the SDGs" Toolkit provides a systematic approach to evaluating sport’s role in sustainable development. It introduces a Theory of Change (ToC) and a Results-Based Management (RBM) framework to assess sport’s impact on national priorities and SDGs. The Toolkit outlines model indicators to measure sport’s contribution, enabling evidence-based decision-making and policy alignment. It promotes cross-sector collaboration among governments, sport organizations, and civil society to enhance sport’s role in development. It also provides practical steps for implementing an SDG measurement framework, including policy formulation, data collection, monitoring, and evaluation. A sample measurement framework is introduced, offering guidance on tracking progress and improving accountability. Ultimately, the Toolkit aims to standardize sport’s role in achieving SDGs, ensuring effective strategy implementation and sustained impact.
